BRAINSPOTTING-TRAINED THERAPIST IN INDIANA
Accessing healing through the mind–body connection
Brainspotting is a
brain-body–based therapeutic modality designed to help process trauma, stress, and emotional pain at a deep neurological level.
It is based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel—specific eye positions, called brainspots, are linked to stored emotional and physiological experiences in the brain and body.
Rather than relying only on talking through experiences, Brainspotting gently accesses the subcortical brain, where trauma and distress are often held. This allows the body to process and release what it has been carrying, at its own pace.

Brainspotting Training and Use in Therapy
Brainspotting is offered as part of an integrative therapeutic approach. I have completed Brainspotting Phase 1 and Phase 2 training, allowing for deeper attunement, expanded techniques, and more nuanced application of the modality.
Brainspotting may be used to support:
Trauma and complex trauma
Anxiety and chronic stress
Perinatal and postpartum experiences
Emotional overwhelm or nervous system dysregulation
Situations where insight alone hasn’t brought relief
How Brainspotting Supports Healing
During a Brainspotting session, I will help you identify a point in the visual field that connects to an internal experience. While attention is held on that spot, the nervous system is given space to process naturally—often with minimal verbal effort.
Brainspotting is…
Client-led — the body sets the pace
Attunement-based — the therapeutic relationship is central
Integrative — emotional, cognitive, and physical experiences are all welcome
This approach can be especially helpful when experiences feel difficult to explain or when traditional talk therapy feels limited. Processing happens beneath conscious awareness, supporting regulation, integration, and relief over time.
